What happens if I cannot make a payment on time?

If you cannot make a payment on time please contact us immediatley to discuss this. Your policy may be cancelled if you do not keep up to date with payments.

Who provides Kwik Fit Breakdown cover?

Your breakdown cover is provided by: Intana, a trading style of Collinson Insurance Services Limited and is underwritten by Ageas Insurance Limited.

What do I need to do if I breakdown?

Please call Intana's 24 hour Control Centre on 0333 000 1400. When calling for assistance please quote reference "F11". 

You will also need to give your name, address, location and details of your vehicle, including the registration number. If you need assistance on the motorway, please use the emergency phone and give the police the 24-hour emergency telephone number.

Do I pay for parts?

When the breakdown professional gets there, they will give you one hour’s free labour at the roadside. If your vehicle is taken to a garage you will be responsible to pay for any parts and labour.

Will my spouse/partner/son/daughter be covered if they breakdown in my vehicle?

Yes, the breakdown policy covers the car and anyone legally driving your car and with your permission.

Will my breakdown policy cover me if my car will not start at my home?

If you have purchased Kwik Assist Full UK Recovery, Kwik Assist Full UK & European Recovery or a Platinum Policy you will be covered for Home Assist. The insurer will provide cover for any breakdown costs and roadside assistance or recovery to a local garage (not including parts and labour) during the period of insurance and within the territorial limits.

If I breakdown will I be taken home or taken on to my destination?

If you have purchased Kwik Assist Roadside Plus, Kwik Assist Full UK Recovery, Kwik Assist Full UK & European Recovery or a Platinum Policy, you will be covered for vehicle recovery and you will be taken to your intended destination.

If I breakdown and I have passengers in my car, will you transport me and my passengers to our destination?

If you have purchased Kwik Assist Roadside and your vehicle is immobilised or rendered unroadworthy as a result of a breakdown, we will arrange and pay for the call out and up to one hour’s labour for assistance at the roadside, and you and up to 7 passengers will be covered by one direct journey, to be taken to the nearest suitable repairer, up to a maximum of 20 miles from the scene of the breakdown.

If you have purchased Kwik Assist Roadside Plus, Kwik Assist Full UK Recovery, Kwik Assist Full UK & European Recovery or a Platinum Policy, you and up to 7 passengers will be covered by one direct journey, to be taken to either your home address or your original destination anywhere within the UK. If you have purchased Kwik Assist Recovery Plus you are also covered in Europe, please refer to your policy booklet for details of the Territorial Limits.

How many call outs am I entitled to per year?

You will be covered up to six call outs per year.

Will I be covered if I breakdown abroad?

If you have purchased Kwik Assist Full UK & European Recovery, you will be covered for a journey in your vehicle to the countries of the European territorial limits, not exceeding 31 consecutive days. You will be covered for 60 days per year in total. If you breakdown in Europe please call 0044 1698 407551.
